Abstract (Question)

A user at my company contacted me regarding adding them to the account.
Apparently I have the permission to do this.  How do I add the user?

Description (Answer)

Upon logging into the Solution Download Center (SDC) , click on 'Account Members' in the left column, under the 'Administration' section:

This will bring up a list of active members on your specific account, along with their existing permissions. Refer the below image.

Download is self-evident and Admin privilege lets you:

    1) Create New Users

    2) De-activate / Reactivate Users
    3) Change User Permissions

Admins can create other admins, or take permissions away from other admins.

1) Create New Users:

To add a new user, click on "Add New Member" tab.

This will bring up the form to add the new user.  All mandatory fields (First/Last Name, Email, Address/Pincode etc) are indicated with an asterisk. The default permission is Download only. If you want to provide "Admin rights" to the user then 'Mark' the "Account Administration" box as mentioned in the below image. Later click on "Update" button.

2) De-activate / Reactivate Users:

i) To de-activate users, go to "Update Member Previleges" tab. Now click on "X" sign as mentioned in the below image for the respective user. This will bring up "Cancel Membership" page. Now click on "Submit" button to de-activate user's SDC account.

ii) To reactivate users, go to "List Inactive Members" tab. Click on the respective user's name, now click on "Reactivate Member" button as shown in the below image.

3) Change User Permissions:

Go to "Update Member Privileges" tab. Now for the respective user, as shown in the below image Mark/UN-mark desired boxes which come under "Admin & "Download privileges" columns. Then, again click on "Update Member Privileges" tab to implement the change.
